Seven Steps to
Natural Health
---Roger Mason There are seven steps you can take to live a long, healthy, and happy life. Use all seven of these. You can cure "incurable" illnesses like diabetes and cancer with diet and lifestyle. Yes, you can do all of these. 1) Diet. Diet is everything. Diet cures disease. Everything else is secondary. Eat two meals a day. Eat only macrobiotic food. Make whole grains your staple food. Read Zen Macrobiotics for Americans. Whole grains, beans, most vegetables, soups, salads, fruit, and seafood (if you wish). No meat, dairy, poultry, eggs, Nightshades, refined foods, sugars or desserts. 2) Supplements. There are twenty proven permanent supplements to take if you are over 40. There are only eight for younger people (read the article Supplements for Younger People in our library). Take all of them, and not just some of them. The ones for the over 40 crowd are beta glucan, CoQ10, beta-sitosterol, lipoic acid, NAC, PS, ALC, vitamins D and E, beta carotene, All Your Minerals and VitaminsTM, flax oil, acidophilus, FOS, quercitin, soy isoflavones, DIM, glutamine, and glucosamine. Please read The Supplements You Need. 3) Hormones. Men have 12 basic hormones, and women 15. Younger people usually don't have hormonal imbalances, but younger women may. For those over 40 take melatonin and pregnenolone and use progesterone cream (yes, men, too). Test your DHEA and testosterone with a ZRT saliva kit. Women can test their three estrogens with a ZRT kit. Cholesterol should be about 150 mg/dl, triglycerides under 100 mg/dl, and blood sugar 85 mg OR LESS. You should fast one day a week from dinner to dinner on water. Just eat dinner one day and drink water until dinner the next day. Soon this will become effortless. If you are ill, a one week fast at a health spa will do wonders for you. 5) Exercise. The easiest and mostly enjoyable exercise is just to walk briskly at least a half hour (two miles) a day. Put a universal gym in your spare bedroom if you can. Join a gym and go at least two days a week. Do fifty "supersets" each visit to make the best of your time (one exercise after another with very minimal rest periods). With such conditions as diabetes, insulin resistance, and hypertension you cannot get well unless you exercise every day. Resistance exercise raises "beta endorphins" which make you feel good all the time. You'll look at lot better, too and lose weight. 6) No prescription drugs or medical procedures. This does not include insulin for type 1 diabetics, emergency antibiotics, or bioidentical hormones. There is no such thing as "complimentary medicine". You either use allopathic (cover up the symptom) medicine or natural health. You cannot go right and left at the same time. You'll never get well while poisoning yourself with unnatural, toxic chemicals. 7) Limit or end any bad habits. If you have a serious condition you have to end any bad habits for a year until you're well. We're all human, but that is no excuse to make regular use of coffee, alcohol, desserts and sweets, or recreational drugs. There is no excuse for using tobacco at all. If you're well, limit or end any bad habits. The only thing that can be added to these seven steps is meditation or prayer. |
