SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY
Nobody is any closer to Allah than
anyone else.
But there are and must be differences in quality, in everything.
Healers
included. Some modalities are saying "anyone can do it", and others
rely
highly upon the skill, practice and knowledge of the
practitioners.
The way of true healing is through self-understanding.
And
the way
of self-understanding is through knowledge of God. This is why
Remembrance
works. It is the functional principle. We remember Allah, Allah
remembers
Us. Otherwise, how can we truly know ourselves except to see ourselves
as Allah sees us. And how can we see ourselves as Allah sees us except
by Him. There is only He. He is the seeing, the seer, and the seen. We
can only know Allah by Allah, see Allah by Allah. For only Allah knows
or sees Himself. Likewise, none can no us as we ourselves do. But we
can
point people to the means of knowing themselves, and then they will
know
us.
Imagine if you knew just about all there is to know about
energy
healing - where it comes from, how it works, the principles of the
major
categories, and the subtle differences between the modalities in each
categories.
Imagine even that such knowledge can be had. Have you ever thought
about
it? How would you feel if you had in your hands an encyclopedia of
energy
and healing? And supposing you had read and truly experienced
everything
in it.
This is not impossible. We have the four realms of
manifestation
that exist within our beings as with Allah. (Sufi terms explained in
"Esoterics
of Sufi Healing" also on this website.) Lahut, Jabbarut, Malakut, Mulk,
all contained - unrecognized - within Nasut). Right?
Then we have Energy Medicine, which explains everything,
the five
world philosophies of life, the major world Scriptures, and the various
exploratory discoveries in the modern (English) world which are
discovering
their validation in the ancient documented discoveries (ex. Guided
imagery
was thoroughly described by Ibn al-`Arabi's "The Imagination as an
Approximation
of Reality" - NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming - is the very
principle
of vocal remembrance (Dhikr). Magnetic and radiatory healing are remote
attempts to duplicate the Attraction (jadhb), the Tawajjuh and Baraka
of
the Sufis. Believe me, we could go on and on, truly creating the first
encyclopedia of Truth, Energy and Wisdom in the English language.
Is it true that the quality of energy healing depends
upon
the knowledge
of the practitioner? Maybe not necessarily, but there is something to
be
said for the quality of healing of the Sufi Master as opposed to the
energy
work that seems to be without any great depth that is commonly
practiced
today in this country. Not all, mind you. But most.
Or, does it depend upon the state of health of the
practitioner?
Again, I maintain that it depends upon the state of the heart which
again,
but not necessarily in all cases, reflects upon the level of awareness,
the proximity, and the knowledge held by the practitioner, again
dependent
upon the nature and direction of his/her quest.
Or does it depend upon the level or quality of the actual
energy
that the practitioner lives in - again dependent upon the proximity of
personal awareness to completion and truth?
All of the above? None?
It "came" to me today that I do indeed have something for
everybody.
This is not said to be exclusive, for in this domain it can be said
that
we all do, but in the vein of allowing myself to recognize and honor my
personal participation in this fact.
If they're in their soul, I can ignite their
spirit.
If they're
in their spirit, I will help them recognize their soul. If their bodies
are unaware, I will lay hands on. If their bodies are aware, I will
open
them up to a greater peace and security and stabilize their walking. If
they are spiritually aware, I will increase their awareness. If they
cannot
see and are willing, I will help then to see. If they are
knowledgeable,
I will increase their knowledge. If they are seeking the secret, I will
give them the key. No one will come to me except that they return more
enriched. It is our age now, and we must be willing to acknowledge
ourselves.
THE DEBILITATION OF SELF-DENIAL
It appears to me that there is no true healing without a
recognition
of source. Getting well needs an excuse, a name or a person (the
"doctor"
or the famous and accredited, or new, technique), in order for it to be
accepted as a valid reason to be well by the one who would have healed
himself earlier had he not been a participant in the mass belief system
of denial of self. He needs a proven excuse in order to be 'justified'
in his own eyes, which are merely a reflection of his perception of the
eyes of society.
Many people create their own
sicknesses
in order
to be having of an 'excuse' to take care of themselves. So anathema is
the true self in this society that without a valid and serious excuse,
it is considered inappropriate and philandering even to the self, to be
in concern for the self rather than 'responsible' and in concern for
the
mysterious 'other'.
THE TRUE WAY OF HEALING
The true way of healing is through self-understanding,
and
self-understanding
is through awareness of God. Nothing is missing, and nothing needs to
be
found. Life itself is an exercise in increase of awareness. God creates
in order to be known, and so do we.
Self-understanding is through awareness of God, and
awareness of
God is increased by means of knowledge of God. This knowledge is not
conjecture
or speculation. It is not even direct personal revelation, which leaves
itself open to question, but it is through the certain, tried and
proven
knowledge and self-education of the Sufis, who have tested and proven
their
sources beyond any possibility of disputation. It is not from the heart
of personal and individual revelation, such as angels, channeling or
conversations
with God. All such personal revelations are subsidiary and subsequent
to,
and dependent upon their agreement with or similarity to, the assured
and
certain revelation of truth and wisdom, from the undisputed Lord of All
Creations, to the undisputed Prophets to all Creation, transmitted to
and
contained in the hearts of the recognized and 'ordained' masters of
this
subject and their sincere students. This is a knowledge the like of
which
has never in all time been equaled. I state categorically that there is
no other way to this particular knowledge. Ignorance of this knowledge
is in no capacity to pass judgement on it or deem it to be the equal of
other knowledge.
Knowing God is a free gift to all. It is the beginning,
not
the end,
of the way to knowing the self. There is no one any closer to God than
any one else. This is the all-important primary knowledge of the
realized
Healer. It is because of the reality of this knowledge and his
knowledge
of this reality that he can with certainty aid his fellow compatriot to
the self-understanding that is so essential to true and perfect
health.
The Prophet said that there is an organ of the body upon
which the
health of the body is totally dependent. And that organ is the heart.
He
was not referring only to the heart of flesh, for in this instance the
heart of flesh is considered to be part of "the rest of the body". He
was
referring to the heart of spirit. For unless the heart of spirit is
cleansed
by the love, forgiveness, mercy and truth of the One True God, the
heart
of the flesh will be plagued with the diseases of doubt and hypocrisy
that
are the causes of all the physical manifestations of dis-ease, anxiety
and all varieties of ill-health.
This is why it is said "who knows himself, knows his
Lord".
For there
is no way to true knowledge of the self, true self-understanding which
is the most efficient, the most pre-requisite way of healing, without
the
requisite knowledge of God. And there is no source of this requisite
knowledge
superior to that held, studied and practiced by the Sufis.
Knowledge of God is the reward of study and
self-application, and
knowledge of Self is the reward of knowledge of God. Hence it is said
"Wa
Huwa Khairan, wa `Adhamyu `Ajran." "And He Himself is the Best and
Greatest
Reward". For there is no self but He.
W/love
