Soul recognition is the key to health and happiness. "Know thy Self!" is the Ancient Essence of all Therapy. The secret of Charisma is proximity to Surrender. It's a more beautiful mask. Who do we surrender to? We surrender to our Self, our Soul, our Lord, who cares for us much more than we do. Surrender is the "action" of our connection. (That's why I say "Surrender Works!") And once discovered, it is watered with love and attention until it grows strong and guides us to our ultimate destiny. 

Connection is in the "outward" too. In the Sufi way you can not have the completion until you're seen by a master. That's all, just seen. Recognition is the basis of confirmation and without confirmation you are still not completely in the Unity. Even though each of us is unique, we cannot be in the Unity alone. Someone else surely got there "first", so to speak, and Unity must manifest in the outward (society) as a proof of its inward reality. So it implies seeking and unifying with the unified. 

Souls are the agents of God and fully aware. Our souls are the definitions of our fulfillment. Already given everything by God, they needs only to be recognized for their wealth to be released to us. Souls are the manifestation of Divine Love. Soul is the owner of your material individual life and the recipient of the consequences of your individual choices. 

When the teaching is ready the medium will appear.  It could happen at the last moment of life. Continue perfecting, maturing. Maturation of character is time spent with Soul or Essence - SOUL TIME. 

Comparison/duality is of the ego. Relationship is the word that strikes the most fear. Think Uniqueness. See yourself as Unique. Unique is the Quality of God. Know yourself, relationship will follow.  Love yourself, for that is what God does. 

The difference between "Being God" and "being a god" is this. 

Being God (with the emphasis on "being") is no problem for you cannot escape yourself. Being "A god" is ego-delusion and self-absorption. It is from fear and the consequent love of power. It is devastating self-worship and the only unforgivable sin - for until you can let go of that, forgiveness cannot be received. That's why "truth to power" is the essence of the prophetic messages and the work of those who would be their inheritors. For power is helplessness. Power is helpless to destroy itself - to annihilate or dissolve itself. It can only happen through accepting love, truth, understanding and self-recognition. In Sufi developmental psychology the helplessness of power (nafsil 'amarra) is considered to be the fundamental problem, or the "lowest" trap of the soul, and there cannot be any liberation from it without a recognition of its harmful effect (nafsi lawamma) and seeking help. 

Truth to power is exactly the help that those trapped in power need in order to escape - if they wish to initiate the escape. If they do not then they must meet their destruction by a force decidedly greater than themselves and this is their judgement upon themselves. They choose to continue, to lead that energy to its final destruction (destination/conclusion), and to the judgement of other souls. Exemplifying wrong-doing for the benefit of all who would consider choosing to surrender to the tendency to follow them is a choice. Such is the example of pharaoh and other self-doomed experiments exemplified in Qur`an and religious/human history. 

Ego-training. The mind seeks further knowledge. 

Why self-doubt? Because of false identification of the ego with the soul. This is the big confusion. 

On the nature of education: One must be trained to overcome the natural doubt that the soul finds with the ego. Your soul knows the truth. One must be trained to totally overcome this doubt. Only the ego can be trained. The soul is free and needs no training. Awareness of the distinction between ego and soul may be awakened, and such is the work of the Sufis and other Self- and God- realization fellowships.

To the self-labeled "warriors for God". You eulogize war because your nafs is not at peace. If it is, dwell in it. Give up false obligation, obligation to the false god of this world. Pay attention to the true God of Wisdom, Peace and Love. There is no victory without winning the "greater" war.

That is Islam! That is Surrender!
